the location

A compelling new master
planned area located on the Lagos Lagoon

Reclaimed to the east of the mainland in Oworonshoki, this 250-hectare island will be approximately 1.4 kilometers wide and 1.9 kilometers long. This water-centric community will be accessible by a dual carriage road extending from the new Oworonshoki government reclaimed land and will enjoy close proximity to the end of the Third Mainland Bridge.

The Island will have convenient access to Lagos mainland as well as Lagos Island.

the plan

An Island designed for tomorrow

Mansonia Bay will be delivered through the joint venture between Mansonia Bay Investments Limited and De Royal Crest Estate Limited. The project will be managed by Orange Island Project Office.

Initiation of this ambitious project will involve the dredging and reclamation of 250 hectares of land in the Oworonshoki area, laying the foundation of a sophisticated and modern district of international standards. The second phase encompasses a further extension of 100 hectares to the east.

A truly diverse & multi-purpose destination

Accommodating new neighbourhoods, commercial complexes, medical, recreational and education facilities, approximately 70% of the land use will be income bearing. Remainder 30% of the land use will be utilised for public spaces, services and road reserves.

the concept

Combining urban living with a tranquil waterside location

The organically modified Island will have a C-shaped eastern edge to increase waterfront properties. Carefully articulated neighbourhoods will be located around the perimeter of the Island, each with its own individual identity and sense of place.
The south west zone will provide commercial and medical facilities whilst a vitalized urban core will serve as the heart of the Island.
